The Center Grove Arts Assistance Fund was co-created by the Center Grove Marching Arts Alumni and the Center Grove Education Foundation in March 2010. We were inspired by all of the students, teachers, parents, alumni and other community members who have been speaking up about how important fine arts and performing arts are to a well-rounded education.

As former students who were involved in several arts programs, we recognize how important that experience was to our own personal and professional development. Beyond encouraging community members to speak out to their public servants about the issues, we also decided to take the next step. We want to give back to the programs that helped shape who we are today.

By purchasing items from Candles That Care in our fund's name, you'll be doing your part to help ensure that the arts will continue to be a staple of education in the Center Grove Community School Corporation. Starting in 2011, our goal will be to award grants to qualifying programs in the schools. Even if it's as simple as providing new paintbrushes for an elementary art class, or extra gas money for a show choir to make it to a competition, we're confident that these contributions will help arts programs thrive.
